Movement

Post by Gmay »

Hello to everyone. When you are about to move a unit what the green colored hex with stripes mean ,and what the orange one?
I searched in the rulebook and the forums did not find something.
Also sometimes some units cannot even move to the next
hex even they have not moved at all,or made any action. Why and when is this happening?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Gmay
The Green hexes show where the selected unit can move too.
The Orange hexes shown means that the unit cant move into them (possibly because of movement costs, mountains, forests etc)
I'm not sure where in the manual it is but movement and the action point costs for the different types of terrain are in there.
Also enemy units with 5+ strength have a ZoC which will affect where your units can move too.

The orange hatched highlights in this case indicate that your unit could move to those hexes were it not for the enemy zone of control limiting your movement there. For example, if the Japanese Army in your screenshot above that is located directly north of Hong Kong, were either eliminated, or reduced to strength below 5, then your unit could move to those hexes hatched in orange as the zone of control influence would be eliminated from the Japanese Army there.
