Finland Keeps DOW on Soviets

As Russian in a multiplayer i keep having the Finns DOW on me, they where at 30% is it because i place units right on the Finnish Boarder...Germans havent even hardly crossed there start line so im abit stumped

If Finland is pro-Axis when the Axis declare war on the USSR then Finland will immediately enter the war too.

If the Axis don't declare war on the USSR, i.e. the USSR declares war on the Axis, then Finland will enter the war if Axis units advance into the Baltic.

It was changed in v16.
I believe the Geman pop-up advice about Finland may need to be modified to match the new rule/effect.

My Russian sub accidentally ended the turn adjacent to Helsinki and Finland DOW'd Russia immediately, despite being 8% in favor of Allies.

That's sounds like a problem.
The sub (or other naval unit) could wind up bumping into something or a sub could wind up there via a dive result.

I suggest making a new thread under the Tech Support sub forum.

My Russian sub accidentally ended the turn adjacent to Helsinki and Finland DOW'd Russia immediately, despite being 8% in favor of Allies.

What has happened is that the script (that exists in case the Soviets try to carry out an amphibious landing in Finland) has fired, and this moves Finland 30-45% towards the Axis.

So Finland has swung from her 8% pro-Allied leaning, to having a pro-Axis leaning, and if Axis forces are in the Baltic then this will be enough to entice Finland to enter the war.

Switching off both Mobilization_2 scripts entitled #NAME= Soviet Naval Aggression in the Baltic in future would prevent this from happening.

I'm not sure I'd want to remove those scripts as these scripts were introduced because it was considered unreasonable for the Finns not to have reacted against the presence just outside their capital of a Soviet naval unit or (more particularly) an Amphibious Transport poised to unload.
