dual monitor and map sliding..

Love dual monitor in general. I play in a window slightly smaller than the desktop as many folks do. No issues getting it to work, but I'm afraid I've become dependent on adjusting the map position by mousing to the edge of the screen so the map slides.

Of course once there's another monitor, whichever side it's on the mouse no longer slides the map when at the edge because the cursor moves past the border that triggers the slide, and moves onto the 2nd monitor.

Yes, I can click around on the minimap and tweak where it's centered with the arrow keys. But multi-year habits.. they die hard and do not go easily.

Just asking in case I missed something that will fix this... or to confirm I just need to re-learn how I move around the map when using 2 monitors.

You can use the arrow keys but you need to select a hex on the map first.

And the "National Home Base" flag at the upper right of the map can sequentially jump from PH to SFO to Sydney and Karachi. There is one other in there (Soerabaja? Manila?) that I can't recall. Not sure which Japanese bases are included in their National Home Base list.

If you get the mouse so that it is JUST at the edge of the monitor, before it actually switches to the second monitor, you can scroll.

Hard to do and requires precision. Otherwise, use the arrow keys or click on the minimap. I do that most of the time. During the combat replay I'll do the other thing.

I use a Logitech G13 gamepad and map the arrow keys to it to allow my non-mouse hand to have ergonomic controls available. It's very comfortable for gaming sessions. The same could be done with a USB numpad.

That said, you can use various software to achieve what you want. I use a paid application called DisplayFusion Pro to manage my monitors, and it includes the ability to "lock" the mouse to one screen. Another option that I found but have not personally used is Dual Monitor Tools. It appears to be free at least and has a "DMT - Cursor" function which appears to be what you're looking for. Both applications use hotkeys to toggle between locked and unlocked modes.
