Its fun playing Larry.

It reminds me of that old Cross of Iron movie with Steiner and I feel like that Major "We are attacking, no we are defending, no we are retreating" LOL

I am doing all three in both of our games lol, its a hoot!

My dream is to get a decent PO for this game, even if they can't do everything perfectly. I just don't have time to play WITP AE or play a PBEM, unfortunately, but I'd have time to play this vs PO. Right now I gotta just live vicariously through you guys!

The next best thing is to play yourself. I've done that. Roll a pair of dice to determine what your enemy will do. Better than no game at all.

True, and I've thought about that - it's just a huge scenario to do both sides. Will probably do it eventually.

What happens when you let the computer play the computer? I think I heard that Thomas Harvey
the scenario designer as working on a version with a PO for the Allied side, or maybe the PO
was for the Jap side. It would be cool to the extreme if there was a PO for both sides.
Maybe that's what you should work on Bamilus dude. Lay down some crude objective tracks for both
sides and let them play each other and see if it works. How long could that take?

Exactly, I laid down Objectives for both sides in my War in Europe scenario.

It's not that hard, just takes time.

I'll try it this weekend, I don't have a lot of experience doing it but I've read your tutorial Larry so it shouldn't be super hard.

I forgot about computer vs computer, that's a good call.

Go into deployment and set the right hand option to set objectives, right click on the map and set some for each formation. Most of my German infantry I used 9-15, same with other nations. You can also use multiple tracks to spice it up.

Don counterattacked in the Hanoi area and I need to restore the front lines without gaps in it. I may need to ship some more troops to this spot.

Here's what's happening in Malaya. I moved out the units I came ashore with and captured three airfields and some ports and I'm going to need some fresh troops to replace these because the supply levels are too low to operate.

Here's the supply situation in the PI right now. I need to capture Manila to really get a lot of supply flowing but the supply level is too low for operations so I'm thinking I'm probably going to need some fresh troops to keep the advance going. And I'll have to evacuate the tired ones to Formosa to refit. It might cause the advance to slow down if I don't do it soon.

Here's what it looks like so far. I've captured Hong Kong and several ports at various places on the map. This is a new turn and I've only begun to move my units so the map is going to change and I'll have to post it again.

Rangoon is occupied by the Indians and there's an Indian unit on the road to Bangkok that's parked far forword and I need to push somebody out there to oppose him so he doesn't move any closer. It looks like that short stack at Rangoon has an HQ unit and two small infantry units and I think one of my divisions might be able to push them out of the way if given enough ship support. There's some CD guns there so I'll have to bring some ships with heavy guns to defeat them. I'll need to take down Singapore first to be able to sail into Rangoon's waters without any hinderence to my supply flow. I've flown an Oscar squadron into the AO to provide some CAP for the bombers I'm going to bring into Bangkok. I need to put some recon on Rangoon so I can see what else is there. I'm not sure whether or not there's any ships parked at Rangoon. I'll have to bomb the port there and check it out.

I've gotten ashore near Manila but the Allies have some RR arty and some stout American units there and I don't want to encur massive losses by attacking into the face of that. I think what I should do is probing attacks with lots of ship support. Also I'm going to run some more units into the area through the port at Batangas, and drive them to the SE side of Manila and push. I don't want to do a lot of aerial bombardment because he's got AA units there. I guess the answer is to use the ships.

Have you considered a second landing at Lingayen just behind the US unit facing your troops?
