Mod question: How to change BB’s to CC’s?

I want to change the Japanese Kongo class vessels (Kongo, Kirishima, Hiei & Haruna) from BB’s to CC’s.
But I’ve never used the Editor so I’d much appreciate some advice & step by step instructions for dummies about how to do that?

Open editor and your scenario. Go to Campaign/Edit Country data. Choose Japan in the Select Country box to the left.

Go to Edit Unit Build Data. Change the number of battleships in the drop up/down boxes to 8 and increase the number for battle cruisers from nothing to 4. Press OK. This done, click on Battleships in the Unit Name List. This will show you the names of all battleships. Remove the names of the ships concerned. Then click Battle Cruisers and add the same names there. Click OK to return to Edit Country data.

Go to Edit Production Cue. (Make sure you're still Japan). Click on Haruna and Kongo in the Queue List and remove them with the bar at the bottom. Then choose Battle Cruiser in the Select Unit drop down list. Here you should now see the names of the 4 converted battleships. At this point you can add them again to the Queue, with weaponry, strength, date and so on at your desire, or simply leave the list empty of these ships, thereby making them available as purchases by player or AI.

But also much easier & straighter forward than I feared it would be!

I now have a Kongo class CC in the production queue for March 26, 1940.
