Ships in port/docked/TF

Post by ADM Togo »

Some questions I have.

1. I have a TF with AK's / AO / AP loaded with supplies and fuel. I disband them at port. What happened to the supplies and fuel? What is I had troops too?

2. Do ships in port get refueled slower than ships that are docked?

3. I noticed that some ships in port are red on endurance, why are they not being fueled? The port has fuel and supplies.

4. Repair rate for ships in Port/Docked/TF. Is the docked rate better than the port rate? Are they the same? Does it matter?

Here is what I know. I will leave the gaps for other players to explain.

1. You can never disband a ship that has any supply or troops on board
You must first unload. You can, however, transfer empty ships or warships out into a new TF and then disband those ships.

2. No, but ships at sea are limited to the amount of fuel they can transfer to or from other ships.

3. Dunno, sometimes it is automatic and sometimes the ships arrive at port and do not automatically refuel. Perhaps it depends on the operation points already expended by the ships before arriving in port. Best to check and refuel any ships before disbanding them as you can't refuel them while in port (makes no sense to me) and will have to waste operational points refueling when you put them into new TFs

4. Ships always repair faster when in port. Depends on the size of the port but being in port is always better than docked if you need repair. A seriously damaged ship(floatation) should always be disbanded into port ASAP, as it might accrue more flotation damage while docked and eventually sink. If the port is small-this may still happen. Nothing worse than getting a crippled carrier safely to a small port and then have her sink a turn or two later while in port. S**t happens!

Hope this helps.

1 Surprisingly you CAN disband ships with fuel, but not with supply. Strange, huh?

2 Shops in port NEVER refuel or rearm. It is for this reason that if you attack ships in port for several days in a row eventually they will run out of AA ammo and just sit there like sitting ducks. (AI obviously).

3 You must form them into a TF and select refuel.

4 Docked ships are supposed to repair faster. No one has ever said how much faster.

I can disband replenishment TFS but not supply TFs if one of the ships is still loaded.

That's true, but you can transfer (not disband) ships to a port even when they are loaded.
