Surprise DoW

I had one on a early run through as Allied where I could have sworn Spain was something like 40ish% Axis and suddenly they mobilized. Ok I thought, I perhaps missed something.

As Axis, Turkey was vacillating. Yugoslavia mobilized with the DE. I declared war and they went toward the Allies. What was I supposed to do?

Again a low % (I was looking until 3 turns later) Turkey joins the Allies! Whaaaaaaaaaaaat?

Ok, so I diverted some emergency units, kicked their butts and own it and am about to ripe through the Middle East. I don't understand the huge swing in a few turns. Can someone enlighten me?

In games against the Allied AI there is a 10% chance that in March 1942 Turkey will join the Allies.

A similar chance exists for Spain joining the Axis in January 1941.

These are War Entry scripts and they can be turned off if not desired, but they are there to help keep the game challenging for those playing the AI.
