Disable mouse scrolling at map edges

Subject says it all. Is it possible to disable mouse scrolling entirely? I am on a Mac, and so playing in a (non-full-screen) virtual machine window. Any time I mouse out of the window to do something else on the computer I end up scrolling all the way to one edge of the map.

Does apple have anything resembling alt+tab? Switch focus from your VM to your desktop?

Good idea. Yes, there is probably a keyboard shortcut I can use to change focus.
