Speed up air execution

Gary Grigsby’s War in the West 1943-45 is the most ambitious and detailed computer wargame on the Western Front of World War II ever made. Starting with the Summer 1943 invasions of Sicily and Italy and proceeding through the invasions of France and the drive into Germany, War in the West brings you all the Allied campaigns in Western Europe and the capability to re-fight the Western Front according to your plan.

How do you speed up the air execution phase so it plays fast?

Set to Combat Resolution Message Level to 0 (press 0 key before the air phase), and set the air execution phase detail to None (in preferences).

Also, set any air groups that have None Air Directives to Rest, unless you want them to fly Naval Patrol auto missions. This makes a slight difference (if you set all your air groups to Rest, you'd be amazed how fast the air phase goes!).
