Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: The German-Soviet War 1941-1945 is a turn-based World War II strategy game stretching across the entire Eastern Front. Gamers can engage in an epic campaign, including division-sized battles with realistic and historical terrain, weather, orders of battle, logistics and combat results.

The critically and fan-acclaimed Eastern Front mega-game Gary Grigsby’s War in the East just got bigger and better with Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: Don to the Danube! This expansion to the award-winning War in the East comes with a wide array of later war scenarios ranging from short but intense 6 turn bouts like the Battle for Kharkov (1942) to immense 37-turn engagements taking place across multiple nations like Drama on the Danube (Summer 1944 – Spring 1945).

Why has my AAR 'Razing the Reich' been removed?

I spent a lot of time creating that AAR and I am not too pleased about it's removal.

+1 from readers of AARs

There are references to it in other posts and AARs. So it was part of the corpus of knowledge and understanding of the game.

There were also several important bugs unearthed and corrected due to that game. I would be happy to redact any material deemed inappropriate by today's standards. It was written back in 2012, when the moderators were somewhat more lenient.

I didn't remove it. I will ask Erik and John if they have any recollection about it. How would we even find it given that it's so old? I only see items that have a post within the past year.

At the top of the page you can change it to show: All topics.

One can see topics from 2010, so all should be shown.

@Blubel: Even after doing this you will not find razing the reich.

@Joel: Most Pelton's AARs were deleted at some point, probably Red Lancer (I am not accusing him!, I only try to be helpful) maybe by mistake one of MichaelTs AARs was deleted too.

Having suffered a similiar fate when my image hoster stopped working I understand the sudden AAR loss syndrome very well.

Thanks to Blubel2 I was able to find the AAR and restore it (learn something everyday). Hopefully there's nothing to negative in the AAR (if there is, please send me a PM and tell me what post to look at and I can selectively delete it if I see it's a problem.

Always enjoyed your AAR's MT. You never took to WITW, was it because both sides don't get to attack and the Germans are on the defensive all the time.

i would think if you want someone to stress your logistic systems and find all the nooks and cracks in it, MT would be your man i'm thinking.

Reading that AAR again brought back some memories.

@budd, I just find the air war in WITW too irksome. And I wasn't prepared to just let the AI handle it.

Can you provide a link to the AAr as I am stuffed if I can find it?

The Germans don't have to be on the defensive all the time. [;)]
