Old and new WiR versions

Post by DiRaC »

I don't know anything before version 3.2. I would like to know what do version 2.0 and even 1.0 look like. It's hard to image though.

Do you guys have clues about the new version about WIR like 3.4?
Does Matrix have plans to develop WiR further more like 4.0? What I mean is greater changes to the interface and core engine of the game, not just the database and small modification. I think as long as the game keeps free, no big hope remains....

Versions 1 and 2 were developed by SSI AFAIK. I've never seen them either but for v1 you can consult the manual (pdf document that comes with v3.2). From version 3.0 MatrixGames took it over and the guy in charge is Arnaud instead of GG. I don't think 3.4 or 4.0 will come about very soon, at least not as free games, since 3.3 has just been launched. Also, as long as this situation persists, we don't have many rights to complain - exactly as many as how much we paid for the game
