Air Control???

Can anyone tell me how to get the Jap carrier planes to form up properly and stop the piecemeal attacks against American carriers. Morale is above average, all pilots rested and most above average experience and no threats from American planes yet the attack gets broken down into 5 separate strikes and against 80 plus fighters, all get mauled with only 1 60 lb bomb hit. My initial reaction is a cry for more control of this portion of the game (like the original apple version). However, maybe I'm missing something

A few extra factors to consider
-Number of a/c on Naval Search
-Weather
-Strike range
Have no fear,
drink more beer.
