wrong target??

This has happened several times, at first I put it down to old recon, now I think there may be an issue.
On 4 missions I have tried to attack Standard Oil (ploesti), my bombers keep hitting Unirea Speranta. Both have recent recon, used 4 different lead BG. Bombers arrive on target, do not divert to secondary, very low losses( 1 bomber from 8bg) and bomb wrong target!!
Some time ago I had a similar problem trying to bomb Krupp germania ufac attacking Neumunster instead.
Has anyone else seen this? Any advice on a work around?

Low experience and fatigue of the lead group, recon, and weather could cause the wrong primary or secondary target to be selected. Looks like similar range and target capacity will cause the pilots confusion.

Yes, I would buy that, except I have tried this 4 times over 2 weeks. 4 different lead groups hi exp never any fatigue over 1. Alt 20k-23k always the same wrong target, used different IP to avoid it, but they beeline for wrong target. Same thing happened b4 in 43 campaign with uboat fac. I will try next with 17s instead of 24s. But it feels like I am stuck in a loop!

OK, success, changed IP, came in from rear of target. Lowered altitude to 19k (took ugly losses from flak). Will keep an eye on this

There is definitely something going on with Standard Oil and Unirea Speranta targets. I restarted campaign and got the switching of targets again! 0 fatigue, 99 morale, 70 exp, recent recon. Clear weather. This is now 3rd game this has happened. I understand the rationale of missing targets, but don't believe in coincidence this much! There is a similar problem with uboat fac germania and neumunster. Does not seem to happen elsewhere.

OK so I replay turn after modifying mission. New mission put IP on opposite side, you have to overtly correct target to get to incorrect target! Lower altitude, highest experience to lead raid and... same result!! When I do review mission during raid- the incorrect target was listed!! What is going on here?

One more question. Why when they bomb wrong target there is zero damage??? 8 BG with almost no interception and clear weather will hit something!
