AngryDeemon(Jap) vs VikingNo2(marines)

Post by AngryDeemon1 »

Once again I make another futile attempt to crush VikingNo2's wimpy legeons of yellow bellied cowards (aka the Marines).
The game is set in 1942 with 6000 points and no limits on anything. The map is favorable to Viking's marines since all of the vhexes are very near his starting line and are per turn hexes. But i think i can still take him, if i take my time and avoid my natural desire to run straight for the Vhexs. (high ho high ho straight up the middle we go (or to the right flank, left flank etc) has always gotten me slaughtered when playing vs VIking).

Set up and sent the turn

Those are Katanas you hear, Katanas and type 98 Railcars. Nothing much to report this turn, spotted marine 37mm at gun positions and some stuars. Marine artillery religeously pounds patches of smoke hoping hat there is arty inside:)

Multiple Railcars with Jap AT rifles riding on them are spotted all allong the front as well a Heavy AA guns being pulled by horses.

Marines are hearing the calls of surrender for the Japaness in the woods but there accent is so bad it causes laughter and actually increases the spirt of the troops

Marine Busters appear to be 150mm mortors very deadly, knowing Angrys love of coordinating a Airdrop with a arty barrarge and a big push, a healthy amount of AA was purchased, and it seems its quite good at "busting" railcars. At least 10-12 wagons and gunwagons are spotted, but sadly all out of range.
Have not spotted much infantry and thats a big problem

Nothing much to report this turn. Lost another railcar, bombarded some marines and some expected arty positions. Dont expect much good out of the counterbattery fire.. Viking either has all of his mortars in one hex or decentralised arty.

The Emperiors men seem very cautious I have spotted many Railcars and AT team but hardly know infantry. The enmeys Marine Buster Arty is impressive though unaccurate.

Calvery is spotted in the south and it seems the Japanesse have brought many heavy AA guns to the Fight.

Not much to report, killed a railcar and MGs crews of dead railcars.

Gun down some Jap crews and push back some infantry that are assaulting the larege center hill, not arty to speak of from the Japs, I think they are relocating their arty due to counter battery fire :D
