You don't get the new page when you click on Matrix? Upgrade may not be the most accurate description maybe modernized.

Heres the info from matrix

Published on August 11, 2019
The new site features a range of great new features such as Bundles, Wishlists and a great new Coming Soon section, but also just make a host of quality of life improvements making it easier to find information about your games and making sales and offers clearer. We’ve also revamped the MyPage section to make it easier to manage your library of games, link to your Steam account and get help when you need it.

We are launching the new sites today, for both Slitherine and Matrix Games!

Although we have been through months of testing, sometimes bugs slip through so if you do encounter any technical issue at all, please let us know and we'll fix them ASAP.We’re excited to hear what you think of the new site, so let us know here: Slitherine forum or Matrix Games forum

My bookmark takes me directly my subscribed forums page.

If they upgraded their website, the one change I hope they made is to allow me to NOT receive e-mails for every new post for every forum I've subscribed to--the only reason I subscribe to forums is so that I don't have to hunt and peck through hundreds of games to find the ones I'm interested in.

Sooo, a supposed site upgrade and they still didn't fix this basic feature... There are hundred of game forums on Matrix's website, and to make it easier for me to follow the games that I'm interested in, I subscribe to the forums for those games--that way when I return to the forums, the game forums where there has been activity are highlighted at the top. So far, so good...

But that doesn't mean I want a freaking e-mail for every new thread in every one of the forums. In the options below, why on earth is there no option for "Do not notify me"? This is the only forum I've ever encountered without that option!
***************
Subscription Preference Forum subscription preference
--Notify me whenever a message is posted
--Notify me only when a new topic is posted

Thread subscription preference
--Notify me whenever a message is posted
--Notify me once per thread until I visit the thread again
--Notify me once per thread until I visit the thread again or until I visit the board the next time
********************

There are days when most of my e-mails are e-mails about threads in Matrix forums...why? If I want to know what is going on, I'll come back by the forum to check it out.

The upgrade was to the Matrix website, and not to the forum software.

As mentioned above, the forums have not been upgraded, this is an entirely different job. It is the main site that has been improved. The Matrix forum is another massive upgrade job that needs to be done as soon as we get the time. Millions of posts and hundreds of thousand of accounts, files, image etc all need to be ported to a modern system. It so old there are going to be a pile of issues and we are not looking forwards to touching it but it needs to be done!

On cookies - the sites just don't work without cookies as they're an integral part of how you stay logged in and we can show you your games list etc. We don't have a version of the site that works without cookies.

Does anybody else seem to be missing games you own on your my page? Set up is nice but it seems some games (recent even) may not have transferred over. Also I was getting an error message when I tried to download an update for Order of Battle.

Yes this is an issue of the data not synching properly. Is it a still an issue? Maybe you need to hit Ctrl F5 to refresh the page in case its cashing something. If its still there I'll need to chase up why it hasn't synched yet.

OK, thanks for the explanation. When you do get around to upgrading it, please please please provide an option to NOT get e-mail notifications for subscribed forums...or come up with a way other than "subscription" to easily track forums of interest.

I am no longer seeing any 502 Bad Gateway issues anymore after clearing out my cache and killing my cookies.

But on My Page I only see 28 out of 49 Games (or DLC's) I have purchased. Is the sync still taking place? If not I'll create a ticket.

Now that I've looked at My Page (or whatever its called), I see that several of my games are missing (Desert War, Scourge of War, Mare Nostrom, a couple of FOG2 modules). For another (Heroes of Stalingrad) I have two duplicate entries, with the same SN. For yet another game (PCO), I have three separate entries, with different SNs; I don't think I bought three copies of that game, but it's been awhile, so not 100% sure...

This is rather frustrating...

Works in Chrome, but not in Blade. In Blade when I try to access matrixgames.com I get:

"400 Bad Request
Request Header Or Cookie Too Large
nginx/1.16.0"

Anyone have any ideas? I'm trying to wean myself from Chrome.

Cheers,
CB

This is fixed by deleting the cookies. Thanks!

I think that the cookie request should have a yes/no option.

Its annoying that you have to make an extra click almost every time to access Matrix. So I accept Matrix cookies but the next time I visit its asking again.
This will happen every time you clear the cookies. To fix you should probably clear cookies for all time, not just today, then don't do it again. All the issues you have are cookie related.
