Weapons Question

This has probably been asked before but I haven't found the thread (no reference to it in the manual that I can find either);

What do the letters between the Range and Damage columns, in the Factory/Weapons display, refer to? (csm, c, sm ... etc) :confused:

They refer to the range they are useful at:

C - Close
S - Short
M - Medium
L- Long

They're effective weapon ranges:

C - Close?, Same hex
S - Short
M - Medium
L - Long
