Oh, I didn't realize it was all due to earned experience. I thought you were adding an extra of some kind, because the first battle I had a low, but more or less expected amount of experience. The second battle though, I got massive amounts spread out relatively evenly over all three categories, so I just figured it was a bonus reward of sorts... In fact, I had one jock reach Green after the second battle, and no, he didn't fight in any other battles, just those two...

The point is that it is fun. If it wasn't fun they'd call it work.
Well Eric, the point is not rank ratio. And fun? What's so fun about fighting opponents with a damaged engine (heat addition) and heat reg damage (less heat reduction) armed with a damaged SL, and 10 armor/struct all over the body? Is that what you call fun, slaughtering dummies that can't fire because of heat and damage and whose bodyparts fall on the first hit? And you call that a campaign?
What about experience? c1 is supposed to be for rookie jocks. By completing this campaign it seems squads are at least green, on their way to novice. And the campaign doesn't even seem to be finished yet...

Nope, this campaign isn't for me, but then it wasn't me I as thinking of.

If you can't just drop down and start the campaign, perhaps this game is too hard?
That was a suggested course of action, not a game rule. I thought that was clear. Oh well.

You can. You may get mauled if you don't know what you're doing. But then it's the same if you start with random battles - you'll just have to build a new squad from scratch. *Suggested* course of action.

I appreciate your insight. Thank you.

Here is The latest Deep core including map 4.
This is the toughest map yet. I do recommend you use a new squad from the beginning. Something fun to do over the weekend.

Don't feel you have to race through these maps. Take some time and explore the maps. Secrets are throughout all of them.

Deep Core FINAL

Post by rosary »

Deep core 'Possible final version' which includes Map 5. Map 5 leads nicely into Savannah. There is a huge amount of things to do in these maps besides just fighting the enemy. I would consider this the Best Deep Core version. Feedback and comments are welcome.

Awesome! I've only played 3 levels but this is cool so far.

For me, they're fun (two levels played so far). It's a fascinating new turn on the game to play to a story line, rather than just wandering around fighting. ... and I'd recommend it to anyone starting out in ToS. Thanks, Rosary.
