Ethiopia conquest/liberation OR NOT

From the image below, the CW should have liberated (or maybe conquered) Ethiopia. However the game just spins past the conquest and liberation phases.

Here is the Conquest phase auto save game file (it immediately goes to the conquest complete screen) and next is a phase after liberation.

Only thing I can see is the CW Div is OoS but the rule just says control the capital so this looks like a bug to me. (Should be liberation.)

Yes, this bug is an open item to be fixed.

This is an old game.

I fixed a bug a year or more ago (years?) where Ethiopia started the war as neutral - instead of starting as conquered by Italy. In games started since that correction, Italy is the conqueror and therefore an Allied major power is capable of liberating it.

There are several flags that get set when a country is conquered and I wasn't able to figure out how to conquer and then liberate Ethiopia in your game. Sorry.

You are right, this game was started quite a while ago. I play it when I have time, which is not often enough.
