Not Proper Equipment

Post by Lobster »

Say I have a rail artillery icon on a unit counter and I have a rail artillery equipment in it. If I try and add any equipment that is not flagged as rail movement I'm told that it is not proper equipment for the unit's icon. But, if I change that icon to say infantry, I can add anything I want. Then I can change the icon back to rail artillery and it moves only on rails, just like I wanted in the first place. Why not simply remove that proper equipment check? A scenario designer can circumvent it anyway. Let the scenario designer decide what is proper and what is not. Why even bother with it? [&:]

Probably in an effort to force people who know what they're doing to assign such improper equipment on purpose, rather than letting inexperienced people do so by accident.

I agree.
"Stick it to the man" as policy.
It is the ultimate political correctness.
