Third Reich 1942-1945

Post by Edwire »

Hi All,

So my last game ended early, and I'm looking for a new opponent. I prefer playing as Axis but either side is ok.

Note the scenario very big (though not as big as FITE2) that covers the whole Europe Front from Normandy, Stalingrad, and North Africa on division levels. It has a lot of house rules but exciting scenario nonetheless. [:)]

AAR from TOAW III version :

Is there a version of this that starts in 1941?

I may be interested in trying the Allies here, I think I need to download the scenario to read the files.

I am reading over the docs for this and it sounds very interesting.

I'd like to commit to this as the Allies but it would most like take a longer while in my current list of scenarios. So some weeks I could only do a turn a week or other times maybe every day I can't say for sure.

If I were to do this I'd do it till the end or we both thought it was pointless going on.

Let me know.

This does look intriguing. It is massive. And I may just be crazy enough to take the Allies (if they are the easier side?).

My goodness...

So I got the first turn done. Took an hour and some change.

Notice a couple of weird glitches.

Scapa Flow has no supply source and the fleet that is there is Out of Supply and can't move till turn 3. Also the US 5 ID can't board a ship nor can the US fighter squadron leave the US Staging area.

Interesting scenario.

PM me for my email addy and we can give it a go.

Hi Zovs,

I've sent you an email. Have a good one!

There are no 1941 version of this, but there is 1939 version AND cover the whole world - "Into the Darkness". I haven't played that one myself and not sure if it's already balanced though. Last I heard the designer is still testing it.

I'd like to encourage one or both of you to do an AAR because this sounds like a good play.
His is going to be the most world-wide anticipated obituary in the history of the world, that I will tell you. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Larry,

I am going to try to take more screen shots for this one for a basic AAR, maybe Rendy (Edwire) can do the same?

The first turn is a cease fire and then I think things get interesting.

Looks like there was 2 AAR's for TOAW III but none for IV so I'll try to have a go at making one, but if Rendy does AAR's better that is fine too...

This looks to be a hoot!

Larry and Don,

I would love to, probably with few turns delay, so will try to make one once we reach T5 or so.

Edwire kicked my Soviet ass in under 12 moves in this one, beware!!! :)

Seriously, he is an expert, at least to me.
