Questions PLZ HELP

Post by MP-5 »

Hi all. Just a few questions.

1.I have Version 4.4 and I was wondering if I can go from that to 5.x??

2. If not... Is it legal for someone to burn the Game for me?? I don't wanna get sued by Matrix games, but I were to download the whole 5.x game it would take 48+ hours!! I am willing to pay somone to send me the disc.

3. Is there anyplace where I can get the OOB's?? I was messing around with the US Army OOB and forgot to back it up.

4. Are there any good OOB editors for free?

5. What programs do you guys use to make shapes and artwork??

Plz help me with the answers!! THanks!

Normal upgrade path is patch 4.x to 5 (which should work for you), followed by patch 5.0 to 5.01. Also you will want the upgrade OOB's with HEAT fix from Tank Heads site (see Matrix - Links)

It is legal to get someone to burn you a copy of SPWAW - there have been a number of people offering to do so on the Forums.

3. Is there anyplace where I can get the OOB's?? I was messing around with the US Army OOB and forgot to back it up.
Try Tank Head's site - he has original OOB's and a selection of updated/ modified OOB's.

4. Are there any good OOB editors for free?
One of the best is the one that comes with the game. Another is Stu's OOB editor (see Tank Head's site) - they allow you to do most things (but not save to .csv so that you can look at the database).

5. What programs do you guys use to make shapes and artwork??

Plz help me with the answers!! THanks!
Sorry, someone else will have to answer this.

Here are some answers:

1) yes, but you have to upgrade from vers. 4.4 to 4.5 (8.7Mb) then from 4.5 to 5.01 (162Mb), the first upgrade you can find it at www.fprado.com/armorsite/spwaw_downloads.htm, the other on many other sites, this one included.

2) i offered to send a free copy of spwaw but only to people living in europe, if this is your case send me a privare e-mail.

3) OOB's comes with every upgrade, the originals oob (suited with vers. 5.01) are downloadable at www.tankheadcentral.com/main.html, but i do not know if they work with older version of spwaw.

4) yes, you can find a free one at www.fprado.com/armorsite/spwaw_downloads.htm

5) sorry, i can not help for this one

i hope this could help you, bye

you can give away the download (which is free) o.c., but you are not allowed to copy the MegaCampaign disk (which is not free).
Just to clarifiy this ..

You may re-install the game in another folder
