Looking for experienced opponent

Post by Dinglir »

Hi.

I am looking for an experienced, slow paced (ie take your time and do the turns right) opponent.

I can play either side, but I am looking to play the Axis. I can also play the Soviets, but I have come to feel that the Soviets are very much the favorites if played well (and, arrogantly, I think I do so). An option is for me to take up a PBEM game where your Soviet opponent has given up.

I am suggesting something along these lines:

Normal Scenario (not Bitter End)
Random weather
No Soviet bonus and normal blizzard.

I think I will be able to do an average of a turn pr week (not much, I know).

I have done a few AAR's in the past, and might (keyword) be interested in doing another if both sides decide to write one (five turn delay, open to all).

HardLuckYetAgain (Playing Axis): tm.asp?m=4323091
Pelton (Playing Soviets): tm.asp?m=4120012
Hermann (Playing Soviets): tm.asp?m=4266269
Dontra85 (Playing Axis): tm.asp?m=4311444

My suggestion for house rules as follows:

No Para drops
No bombing of HQ's unless stacked with a ground unit
No naval invasions before November 1941, none outside the 1939 Soviet borders before January 1943
No naval invasions more than five hexes from a good order unit that have not moved and started the turn being in Supply.
10 day rule = no turns in 10 days by one player the other wins by default (unless notified of the delay by pm).
New Patches will be used as soon as possible.

Additional Auto VC:
Sudden death VC check at beginning of April 1942. If the Axis holds less than 191 Victory Points it is an automatic decisive Soviet Victory, if the Axis holds more than 242 Victory Points at the beginning of April 1942 it is an automatic decisive Axis victory.

AAR would be appreciated-even if only a short one with overview screenshots and little commentary.

Hello Dinglir - I’m interested, but I’m not a veteran player. I sent you a PM to discuss further if you are still looking.

Thanks,
Shalkai
