cloud saves on GOG

Hi,
I bought "SC Europe at War" & "SC World at War" on GOG.
Only WaW support cloud saves which is a great feature when playing on 2 computers (1 laptop & 1 desktop)

is it planned to add these feature to Europe at War ?

When you mention Cloud Saves, are you referring to play by email? I just ask as there is no cloud save feature for any of our games.

Hi Hubert,

I'm using the GOG Galaxy launcher.
On the game page of the "World" version, just on the rigth of the "play" button, it's indicated "cloud saves synchronised". And indeed, I can save my games on the desktop, and I see them on the laptop.

But on the page of "europe" version, there is no indication about cloud saves at the right of "play" button, and games are not shared between my 2 computers. On the game page in the store, I think there is a word about cloud saves...

May be it's a functionnality offered by Gog and activated for World at war by GoG team and the "forgot" to do the same for Europe version ?


note: I'm using french version of the launcher so the terms can be slightly different than the english version...

Thanks for the information and it looks like you are indeed correct here and this is actually news to me as I didn't realize that GoG was doing this for its new games. Apparently this is all through the GoG Galaxy client for all (new) games. We don't do anything for it and we have no influence (as far as I know) on how or when it is done which would explain why it was not likely done for War in Europe.

Hi Hubert,

I had the answer from GOG support about Cloud Save feature for SC3 WiEurope: "unfortunately it depends on the publisher / developer and at the moment we do not have this feature for this game".

As Cloud Save feature is already implemented (and it works) for SC3 WaW, and that save files are stored in the same directory (my documents/my games), I don't think it's a big effort to add cloud save feature for SC3 WiE

May be you could contact GOG (via Matrix/slitherine ?) to request adding cloud saves for SC3 WiE ? It would be a "plus" for the players.
