Head to full armor, your a few points short in the dl. And put some more armor on the LoT your 10ish points shy. Those are the only majorish things I can spot. Are the heat regs keeping heat build-up under resonable control if you just fire the Plasma cannons? Looks pretty darn good for a 1st titan. :)

You need a heat reduction of at least -4c or you won't be able to fire both plasma cannons continuously even with your shield off. You could try switching one of the plasma guns for a gauss rifle if you want, as they produce 1.1c heat overall heat instead of the PG's 2c. You could drop the engine size by 3 if you did that as well, making room for a better computer and/or scanner. This would mean 3 weapon skills for your jock, but you could turn the srm8 into an ac7 or something, and one medium laser for a machine gun... but this would come out as a completely different titan. -sigh- I have a medium called Starfire with a very similar loadout ( 2 plasma guns, undecided between 2 medium or 4 small lasers), the Heat 9 and plenty Millennia and it still runs hot with the shield up.

It looks a little like the Hephaestus, though with more electronics.
The jump capacity is just a little too shy for 3 jumps.
You can swap the flares with the LT ML, that'll give you more options when prone.
Watch your heat or that ammo might start popping.

I managed to kill the thing last night; not a glorious fight, I might add. The main problem wasn't so much the insufficient(?) heat reg, it's the nature of the plascannons and the unfixed bug that destroyed locations with plascannons produce lots of heat...

I managed to take his right arm off in a Disruptor. After that, not much more firing came, probably due to heat reasons. Two lucky meson blasts damaged the other plascannon, raising heat even further.

So far, so bad. He kept firing with the backup weaponry, no big problems here, until another meson blast damaged the heat regulator. By the time my guns had reloaded, his ammo had already blown up, destroying the entire torso.

I suggest replacing the shield with a DCS, so damaged cannons can be fixed before they start to pose a real threat to the jock.

Good call. Not only will a DCS allow you to repair the plasmas, it'll also help protect against crits of any source (much better than a shield will against meson hits).
