"W" in combat resolution window?

Post by Dave25210 »

Hello,

please could someone tell me what the "W" stands for in parentheses behind "Axis Forces Defending" ?
I know that "H" after "Soviet Forces Attacking" means the hasty attack, but "W"? I downloaded the
latest 2.5.5 manual but didn't find it so far. Thanks for help!

Fighting withdrawal I think to be specific. One of the combat events that came up with one of the patches. Depends on a roll and basically should mean you still retreat, but with fewer losses on your part and more on the attacker.
