My attempt at Swenglish was a complete and utter failure. I was thinking of a person laying sett stones onto a street (see picture). Is laying the right word to use? And just translated the Swedish word into English, and then removed the first part to get a broader group. I didn't even realize that I used Swenglish. [:)]

I'm afraid to ask what our distinguished colleague from the Great European North meant. Is it people who lay bridges? Or people who lie down for a nap? Perhaps his mind is affected by eating too much lutefisk? [&:]

Good morning, Gentlemen, Ladies, Aliens, Barbarians, Grandfathers, Geniuses, Chiefs, Vegetables, Layers, Insects, Jaguars, Physicians, Nerds, Generals, Firemen, Zorch, Marines, and good morning to the rest of you as well.
I'm in a category by myself! Like a zoo animal that's the last of its species.
Nope. Not at all. Like a valued, unique, friend.

Besides that, I never seen such a thing at a zoo. Sounds a bit like a myth the me. "Yes, sir, this is the last Zebra in the world. It will just cost you 10 dollars to watch this unique animal up close. It is one of a kind, and when it dies the race is dead. Extinct. There there are no more Zebras. Do not wait. Tomorrow might be to late."

No worries. I think we would use the term 'paver' or 'mason' to describe one that works with stones in that fashion. From the poultry side of things, this is a 'layer': a chicken that lays eggs.

It is surely affected by something. But not by eating to much fish. Any kind of fish at all. Maybe I should eat more fish?

I'm guessing that you're the only person in the room to which you refer? [:D]
