I've no idea if anything can be done about this but at present the pathfinder can be used by unscrupulous MP players to find and track the positions of enemy armour.

In the attached pic the tell-tale bulge in the path is caused by an unspotted Jagdpanzer. Obviously scouring a large rural map in search of tanks this way isn't practical, but once you know roughly where an AFV is, it could be a viable tracking method.
