Variable tilt angle

Post by lasertronicsau »

Is it possible to use something like the mouse wheel to variably adjust the angle of the tilt? It would be great to be able to move from a more top down view to right down with the units. I know pressing L cycles through the three predefined view angles but I not sure if something like Classic UI can be used to scroll the tilt angle up and down.

You can alter the view angle using both the SHIFT+UP/DOWN keys and by holding down the middle mouse button.

I have tried variable tilt, it works, but how are people getting a nearly horizontal view...mine stops at the usual lowest angle setting when i use shift...i have seen some interesting screenshots where they are almost down on the ground.

never mind...i can't post link but see this post in this forum...

"Camera abit restrictive!" one must edit the MAPVIEW file.

The latest version has an option for free camera which removes limitations on the view angles.

Yes, thanks for this option but don't works completely fine.

With maximum zoom if I move the camera at maximum down, the screen goes back some seconds.

The camera will try and move to avoid clipping into the landscape, though this is not always perfect as it was never really designed to be down this low on some of the more hilly maps.
