How do you transfer a naval unit from the Mediterranean?

How do you transfer a naval unit from the Mediterranean? I left a sub, in the hex designating the transfer, one turn thinking I could move it the next turn and I could not move it to the Atlantic. Any thoughts?

If you are allies and own Gibraltar you just pass through. As Axis and Allies have Gibraltar you park on the next and at the end of the turn you will be prompted to pass through

I was unable to move on the next move to the Atlantic. I did not get a prompt. What does it look like?

There are 2 hexes to either side of Gibraltar. The hexes are a different color. Your ships need to park on those hexes. You will get a prompt at the end of your turn for each ship on one of those hexes
