Combat Effectiveness Loss

Post by Michael T »

b If random roll 0–100% < Experience % the unit takes addition
effectiveness loss.

The above is from the Combat Effectiveness Loss Table on page 101.

Is that a typo? Shouldn't the roll be > the Experience %

Or maybe I misunderstand.

A unit has experience of 90 and the dice roll is less than 90 then takes effectiveness loss.
A unit has experience of 60 and the dice roll is less than 60 then takes effectiveness loss.

At least that's how I read it.

It seems counter intuitive. I would think a unit that is more experienced would be less likely to loose more effectiveness. But the table appears to suggest the opposite is true. Less experienced units loose the least effectiveness.

So a unit that is 90% experienced will lose more effectiveness than the 60% experienced over the course of time.

Right. That's not intuitiv.
As Michael T described, a Unit with a higher experience should be less vulnerable to effects, resulting in losses of effectivness.

I meant TYPO not type. What you guys are saying is correct. The more experience the less chance of losing MORE effectiveness. Too many things going on at once for me.

There is a contradiction between the rules and the chart for Effectiveness Recovery for snow and blizzard.

Page 67-69.

Rules say -20%/-40% for snow/blizzard. Chart says -10%/-20%.

Which is it?
