The Germans 43', 44', and 45'

Post by Forward_March »

We're playing the 43' scenario.

Things look dismal for the German side, and it's only July 44.

I've plenty of Brawny tanks.

Enough aircraft with high experience to keep the vaunted USAAF from destroying too many factories or oil production, though with the reappearance of a rested huge Soviet air force it's being put to the test. I'm still waiting on the Me-262.

...still, no airplane can hold the ground.

...What did Stalin say when asked about fearing the Pope?...something like "how many divisions does he have?"

I have tons of divisions, due to both my opponent's strategy, and my own, neither of us has lost many divisions let alone corps. The problem is, that a full 1/3rd of them have less than 100 squads.

I know that once the Axis allies units shatter, they tend not to come back. But, what of the Germans?
Do they keep rebuilding them? As it is no units at the Front seem to regain any strength in squads.

Anybody have any suggestions/ideas/concrete facts? Disbanding divisiions would be a grea thing, but I've never heard of it happening.

Please help, lest the central European paradise be fouled by the red hordes.

And it's July and the Russians are not in Central Europe? You're doing great man, hang on for one year and you've got it made ;)

German divisions get rebuilt slower because they get fewer replacements than the Soviets. Allies seem indeed to never come back - but who needs them anyway :D

You can't disband your divisions, if you want them to not receive replacements place them in some HQ set to 0 replacement level.

Thanks for the advice k62....I've considered the option myself. Just seems sad to have 1/3 of your infantry cooling it's heels or chasing partizans...which they do a woefully inefficient job of.

I'm unable to send you mails. I am trying it for hours now. Don't know if my mail server is broken or if it is your one, but will wait if it works tomorrow.
