Major Connection Errors since 1.16.03

I have had continuous connection errors since 1.16.03. I would guess 1 out of 4 attempts into PBEM results in PBEM connection errors. I have had several occurrences where the game isn't saved at the end. I now try to save the game before exiting if I remember. Sometimes I'll get save error (before exiting) and will just keep trying until it takes.

I have no other connection errors and my system is up to date and current.

Is this unique to me or are others having the same issue?

Not unique, I had these issues yesterday, but only yesterday. The Matrix website and forums seemed down as well, but only for an hour or so.

I also had a server problem yesterday evening (UK time) - I ended up having to take one turn several times - frustrating and also a minor Fog of War breach as, even though I faithfully tried to take the same moves every time, I got different intelligence every time the turn started.

Same problem yesterday 2300H (Spain). In one of my games I ended the turn but then I had to finish it again as only 3/4 of the turn was completed.

I suspect a PBEM++ server error/issue here for most of these problems. PvtBenjamin, I haven't heard of any daily problems as you've suggested, have you tried a re-install?

Same issue here, brother. Connected on two games 7 times because playthrough didn't stick and had to redo... beyond the lack of access all together.

I have the issue in both Steam & Matrix. Steam freezes when I get PBEM connection error. I removed an Ad blocker ad on see if that helps. Will also reload.

Sorry to hear about the continued trouble and if Steam is freezing as well it might unfortunately be something specific on your end. It could be an Ad Blocker and it could also be your Anti-Virus if it doesn't like the game's attempts at communicating with the Internet etc. as that sounds about the time when it is locking up on you.

Perhaps whitelisting the game with your AV might help.
