Matrix games always comes out with a complexity level for their games and for some reason, they didn't for this one.
Is there any chance someone can tell me the complexity before I buy it?

Easy to master the mechanics of play, no micromanagement to play each turn, lots of depth otherwise which are not difficult to master, but lend interest and historical 'accuracy.'

A good combination of ease and accuracy. The weeds are there to get into if you want, but if you don't want you can let the AI take care of it for you. You have all the detail without the bother, unless you want to bother.

Slitherine lists Difficulty as Intermediate.

Not exactly the same thing as complexity but close.

Relatively easy to play if you read the manual.

Hard to master. Lots of options.
