Mountain Corps

IMO all mountain corps should be considered 'winterized'. Especially the German and Italian ones. Hope this change makes it back into the game in a future patch.

thanks

They also cost helluva of Logistics for a 'lightweight' unit in terms of logistic use. But I believe the game is not exactly tested when it boils down to number crunching.

I feel that by what I saw in the Editor anyhow, the 'winterized' is for a nation whole, and not individual units. (I may be wrong there though)

Mtn should be winterized. We have it have a high logistics cost otherwise you would only build Mtn units.

you can only number crunch so far. There are always intangibles in play with these kind of games.

Mtn should be winterized.

Sorry but the above confused me. Are you saying all mountain units in the game are produced "winterized"? Example: So all American & German & British mountain divisions are winterized even before adding the winterized specialty?

If I remember... so many rules.... Yes all mtn units should be winterized as the country ability, not the specialization.

Okay, thanks for the response. This makes mountain units even more useful. [:)]

Good news. I don't think that is mentioned in the manual anywhere though.

I want to verify this but I am pretty sure I made them winterized to justify the logistics. It isn't in the manual. I will be sure it goes into the manual.

Please read the feature about specialization and then you should understand the concept here.

I did read read it and that was part of what lead to the confusion. Since Mr. Sousa seemed to say mountain units are automatically winterized without having to add the winterization specialty. But the confusion is now cleared up since we have been told that it is true that mountain units are winterized automatically without the specialty.

So you made me think of a follow up question. Are the effects of winterization cumulative? Can you add the winterization specialty to an already winterized mountain unit and increase the benefit by some percentage??????

Thanks. It try. It's complex under the hood to make sure it is easy for the surface. If I had another year I would redo much of the code.

Don't think one would -only- do mountain units, considering they cost more by default, and thus also their own very replacements too cost more production.

To set a mountain unit to be as logistically massive as a panzerkorp is over the top, in my opinion. They can be more manpower demanding maybe (mirroring the fact that they require 'first quality' personnel), and have 5% extra starting experience to mirror the additional quality.
