** FIXED ** Unable to access FTP page for game update download

Hi Guys,

For some reason I'm getting an 'unable to reach' error using Firefox, Edge and IE on http://ftp.matrixgames.com/pub/WarPlan/ ... .00.01.zip

Any help appreciated.

Edit: for clarity, I have the same issue with http://ftp.matrixgames.com/pub/CloseCom ... .00.02.zip. Generic FTP issue or me??

I was able to get to it no problem. Check firewall settings, perhaps temporarily disable it to FTP in. Otherwise wait for the Matrix experts to answer your question.

On Firefox it shows as just a "save" button as usual like any other file.

Update ... the fail occurs both using the update function in the game start loader, and also the 'file update' page from the Matrix site member downloads page.

Download the update manually from the Member's Area.
You can download games and patches/updates from the Member's Area provided they are registered to the account. Please see the forum post below which explains how to do this:

Already tried that and It won't let me extract the files apparently there is a 0x80004005 error what ever that is

Try installing the update file with the Windows running in Safe Mode.

That still won't solve being unable to extract files in normal mode but I will give it a go

Tried that and it made no difference as I still got the same unspecified error message. I can download the file no problem it just won't extract

Is the issue when unzipping or when running the extracted file?

It's when I try to unzip

The it sounds like a corrupt download.
Try downloading with a different Internet browser:
