WarPlan and iMac

Post by Zovs »

The game runs and works fantastically on my iMac 27", note that I do have 40 GB of RAM and am working on moving it off my 1TB SSD to my external 500GB SSD, but not quite there yet.

While running VM ware in windows mode it's had to capture screen shots, but in full screen it works good.

Running in Windowed mode:

Remember this is all on an iMac running VMWare with Windows 10 with 8 GB of RAM, pretty slick.

I certainly a thrilled!

Essentially I am running native iMac Catalina 10.15 and VMWare 11.15.0 and Boot Camp Windows Tools and using an external 500GB SSD (this last bit is still a wip).

Once I get it all hooked up I'll post a link or two and maybe a tidbit, the stupid external SSD is still giving me fits.

I should have also said that that last post was done in Windows 10, in a VM (the guest OS) on my iMac Catalina (the host)...lol -> and so is this post.

Yep, works perfectly well with Parallels also (Mojave host, Windows 10 VM). [:)]

I have not been able (yet) to make it work with Crossover (Wine).

What irks me a bit is that the game being made with Unity it would have been theoretically easy to make a mac version....[8|]

Cool deal Franciscus, VMWare and macOS work much better then Virtual Box, and the speed of all the games I have installed so far are fantastic and I only gave the VM 8GB of RAM! On Windows 7 with Windows 10 as the guest I gave it 16 and it was still a pig on that old Windows 7 machine, crazy.

I did give it 2 cores, but its still tight and speedy!
