Atlantic Wall fortifications

Post by Lascar »

In the 1944 scenario there doesn't seem to be any major fortifications, especially of port cities, that represent the extensive fortifications of the Atlantic Wall. The units deployed on the coast only have basic entrenchments. Some of the fortified ports in France held out for months after the invasion and the one's that were taken(Cherbourg, Brest etc.) only fell after undergoing a major assault.

The coastal defense units can't deploy in cities and there seems to be no indication that units deployed on clear coastal hexes have coastal defense units there.

It would do nice to be able to build land forts too. Not as strong as the Maginot or Siegfried line maybe and requiring some time to be produced.
