Is there an editor?

Warplan is a World War 2 simulation engine. It is a balance of realism and playability incorporating the best from 50 years of World War 2 board wargaming.

Is there an editor?

And exactly what is editable in this game?

Almost everything is editable in one of the smoothest editors I have ever used. I was going to pass this one by (I have way too many games, every Matrix title, etc.), but glad I didn't. I have only gotten several turns into a campaign, but the editor could keep me busy pretty much until I pass on. You can tweak out Partisans (most don't like them) and make the game you like to play.

I was beginning to lose faith - Fantasy General 2 editor is laughable, and Close Combat release can't be taken seriously - and then this game pops up. So far, enjoying it far more than the venerable SC3, as long as you are okay with no stacking.

Stacking is abstract as you can detach units. Late in the war Axis players will learn that they need to have 3 small corps instead of 2 large ones do deal with the Russians.
