Planning layer for WarPlan

Post by MOS96B2P »

It might be interesting if there was a feature that allowed a player to create war plans on the Warplan map. I've seen this in a few other games where a player is able to create / modify and display his plans on the map. It could toggle on and off like the supply, objectives, and unit toggles do now. A player could draw invasion arrows, phase lines, mark objectives etc. on the map. Basically make his war plan for Warplan.

I second this, if at all possible due to time programing. Like Google Earth. In fact, a map pin with players remarks while howering over it, would make all the difference.

Thanks for considering the idea. I don't know what kind of time/effort/money is required for something like this. I remember the old Civilization 4 game (and a few others) allowed the player to make basic marks on the map. A toggle feature to get the marks out of the way when not needed would be useful. It would be cool to draw war plans on a map of a game named WarPlan [:)]. With a simple paint brush type tool with the basic colors a player could draw Attack / counter attack arrows, phase lines, defensive lines, mark objectives, mark the Main Supply Route (MSR), mark the last location OpFor subs were operating, strategic bombing targets etc.... And if not feasible, the game is very cool as it is.
