Purple Hearts the Only Medals Earned

I have been playing this game since the release date. Not addictively, but I have quite a few hours in, maybe days of playing. I have yet to have any soldiers earn anything other than purple hearts? Even if I suck pretty bad, I'd think I'd at least see a combat infantry badge. All I have are purple hearts and acts of cowardice. I have had soldiers perform some awesome feats, but still, not a single medal other than a purple heart?!!?

What the hell is going on? I've been playing Close Combat for over 20 years, I know this game well. I would have had plenty of medals by now. But still nothing!

The medal award threshold is a bit higher than previous games but they do occur. The first tier (Combat Infantry Badge / Assault Badge) are likely if a soldier gets a vehicle or tank kill.

ok, well at least I know it isn't broken, like my men's morale [:D]

My soldiers don't seem to last long enough after a vehicle or tank kill to get the award. I've seen plenty of Purple Hearts but seldom do I see a CIB.

Once a soldier got some marksmen perk but this hasn't happened since the first patches.

Wouldn't it be great if it was possible you could have one or two soldiers still standing going right through the campaign, maybe get wounded along the way but come back to you. However I really don't think this would happen currently.

Yes, this would be great to really connect you to the fate of the guys.

You would think after all his contributions, he would at least get a CIB.

R.I.P SSgt Adams, he died in the final days of Operation Cobra trying to get that medal he never got.

Amazing service. Robbed of a medal. Matrix, fix those medal thresholds. Even give brave Adams one posthumously.

Some of the men seem to get sort of ribbons (not mentioned during debriefing). Unfortunately there is no mouse-over info what it is. Anybody else has noticed this?
