Prioritizing air unit replacement

Post by Flaviusx »

Is there any way to do this? The plus button doesn't seem to work on air units for some reason.

This is a real issue for the Soviets in particular who seem to have problems getting replacements and upgrades for their air units. I have actually been forced to simply disband these units when the get 2 years or more behind in tech.

The other powers don't seem to have quite this same problem with their air units but the plus button doesn't function for them either.

I would like to know this as well. The plus button does not seem to work both for air and navy, perhaps this is WAD but would be nice to know anyway.

Flaviusx, have you tried to raise the reinf./upgrade amount in the production panel perhaps this could work (if you have enough stockpile). Another option could be switching off for 1 or 2 turns the reinf./upgrade for ground units, that because ground units take precedence over navy and air.

I have done this. Literally 500+ replacements in the pool and cranked up the settings to match that and everything topped off and still having issues getting the Red Air Force to upgrade. And it is only the Soviets I run into this problem with.

I just noticed that strategic bombers aside, Soviet aircraft cost about 2/3 of what everybody else is paying. I'm wondering if this is why they never upgrade.

I think it matters a lot where the unit is located. I noted for instance I had a sub at Kiel and one at Oslo, but set to priority. The one at Kiel got replacements rather speedily, but not that in Oslo. Now that the rules are on location, I don't know. Hopefully the dev will supply more info on it. And about why air units are lagging.

There is an order of replacements in the manual.

You can also set passive fronts off.

But I will double check the reinforcements to make sure they are working right

Also navies reinforce at port 5 and higher.

Units reinforce by order of need 1st. A unit with less max health gets priority over better condition units
