Definitely ensure 1.00.02.01. The .01 is important. Plain 1.00.02 has a bug that wipes out units in the deployment queue and, in the process, can impact shipyard availability.

Open the game menu used to launch the game. The current installed patch is listed in the upper right. The number you see in game does not display the .01 for some reason. Had me thinking I and my opponent were running different versions for a bit lol.
