I haven't got to play it much myself with the stacking update yet - but the signs are good. Thanks again!

With the Steam release now live, the mod will be available on the Steam Workshop shortly. Because of the way it works, it will be split up into several parts (DB, Maps, Scenarios), though I should be able to assemble them into a pack pretty readily.

And it is live on the Steam workshop!

Check it out here [:)]

Note about Steam installation/workshop:
The mod version on Steam and the mod version up for download from the link in the first post are completely identical content-wise, but have slightly different file structure. Missions downloaded via the Steam workshop also have their own separate tab when selecting new scenarios (3rd in a row, after "default" and "user").

You CAN download the mod from the Google Drive link above and install it on the Steam version if you want, following the same instructions above. It will work fine.
However, what you do NOT want to do is install the download version and then also subscribe to the Workshop collection, as that might break the mod. So, if you have this game on Steam - I recommend picking one way of installing the mod and sticking with it. Workshop might be the easiest!

It seems the subscribed scenarios are not listed in ascending order by name. I'll see if I can fix this.

Yeah, I just figured that it defaults to listing them by either upload (or more likely download) date. Not a huge issue however, that's part of why I tag and number them [:)]

Just played the first mission, absolutely great! One of the most exciting missions I´ve ever played in any strategy game... brutal combat, once the shots started going off there was no pause in combat till the end.

I don't know if you ever calculated realistic monthly day-night lengths for the maps? They're listed in the map defaults.xml. I can do it if needed. The scenario start times might need to be adjusted then.

On the other hand, it could be close enough if you used the Italy map values.

I have not! That's something I thought of, but was not sure how to do properly - it would be excellent if you could do that. Thanks in advance [:)]
From what I recall, the map data file was actually based on the Fulda Gap, so it's almost 7 degrees of latitude further south.

And just to note - Grozny was (and still is) on Moscow time despite being a bit further east.

Great shots - and glad you enjoyed it!

One thing I find really neat there is the way you approached it - I always followed what I already knew were the historical routes of these units, so the outcome when you really concentrate your forces like this and go right through the middle of town is really interesting and shows how you could tackle it totally differently [:)]

Just to ask, can I play it with A.B. 1.042?

Yes, no issues on that - it currently runs fine with both Steam and non-Steam versions!

Oh very cool! I should have asked tried to do that - I actually wanted to do something similar, but trying to change the colour numbers for fonts broke the labels for me for some reason. I should have asked on the forums.

Thank you for doing this work - this looks very much better! Would you mind if I incorporated it into the mod with the next update?

By the way - does AB accept Cyrillic characters for text labels?

You can do masschanging of specific labels with Notepad++ for example. Just grab one specific font setting and change color to another on any others similar labels.

I wish that in future we will have some specific font size to show them only in specific zoom levels (for street labels for example)

I think it should accept Cyrillic . It’s Roboto font family so it should accept any others specific characters.

Cheers! Following your adventures [:)]

And I've updated both the Steam workshop item, and the upload version in the first post (though technically, you do not need to reinstall the mod, and can simply use the locations.xml file that Tebeinteresno uploaded above!) For those on Steam, it should update by itself next time you re-launch Steam.

Here are the values I recommend for the both maps. As I said, the scenario start times might need to be rechecked when using this.

I haven't really considered the time zones when calculating these. I've used suncalc.org as the source.

By the way, today is the 25th anniversary of the Battle of Grozny in November 1994.
