Entrenchment bug

Good day,

In one of my games I play as allied player. The Axis player invaded northern France (may 1940) after Belgium and just after entering in the following turn his 2 main tank invading units were fully entrenched at level 3 in open ground!! [X(][X(]
I was not able to launch any counterattack against these units of course. I think some other players had similar issues before. I have a captured screenshot to prove this bug. Many thanks. This is quite upsetting for France, being already quite underpowered...

This bug is in play for since I remember the game. I've never seen entrenchment like this on my units on my turn, so it must be a one turn thing during the non phasing player. I know, it's very tough in times but I guess we must make due. It happens to both players so it evens out in the long run.

Thanks for the report, and just out of curiosity, has this anomaly only ever applied to Tanks?

So far, I only detected problems with tanks

Thanks and I think I may have found it, I've made a change and I'm hoping this now finally resolves it.

Is the entrenchment bug fixed in 1.17? I found no hint in the update list.

Hard to say definitively as I was never able to repeat it. I did find something that may have been the cause which I amended but without 100% confirmation I couldn't say it was officially fixed. If anyone notices it again please let me know.

I just had a situation where an opponents tank moved into Brussels and the next turn was entrenched 4.

I also have an opponent who said my units were moving and then were entrenched

Ok, I've finally been able to repeat this. Might not make the next update, but it will be fixed for a future update for sure.

Also, from what I can tell this is limited only to Tanks.
