Technical movement question.

Post by Sleeping_Dragon »

Question involve a movement on the 3rd map in the Metaborator<sp?> campain, near the narrow foard on the river, to the west of the starting location.

I'm playing this one for the third time.. It's tough! I see that it's win-able, just haven't won yet. :) but this question involves movement.

I'm in an Instigator, max climb rate 48, on a med. hill w/scrub heigth of said hill is 38m with 3m scrub. I am trying to move into a depression, -6m. I can't run (blacked out), my walk doesn't require a check, but the walk does take 63 secs, even with the frozen terrian movement modifiers this strikes me as being a long time. Since I don't have a clue about the movement formulas, Can someone who does know the techincal side of movement confirm that this is being calculated correctly? This sounds more like the time it would take me to walk up the hill instead of down it.

I have the save game, just in case it's needed, just let me know.

The height difference is high, that's why you're so slow walking downhill.
