Gameplay AI

Post by hawkwiz »

I'm still in my first game but several issues with AI not playing correctly. As allies when Germany conquered France the very next turn it declared war on Vichy France which is a bit of a stretch. Moving down through Spain 20+ German units piled up at Gibraltar. Then when Germans attack Greece same amount of units pile up when you hold Athens and the river crossings. This prevents the AI from attacking Russia through March of 1942 already. Additionally merchant marine at 100 is too expense especially when British production slows down dramatically (even with assistance) due to I'm assuming upkeep. With some updates it will be a good game.

Same thing happened to me. About 10 German units showed up in North Africa!

Finishing my first run with this game. Allied simply strategy put elite units in Gibraltar, Athens and the mountain river crossing path next Athens in Greece. Those 20 and change German units won't leave and when Russia joins the war you easily move in to Germany and surround Berlin. Despite the fact that it takes a few turns to do this when Russia joins the allies those units stacked up will not reposition to defend Germany thus my war is basically over in mid 1942.
