just can't be true... S-47 was spotted and damaged during the night but manages to get through the 12 destroyers on escort and torpedoes Akagi... the ship has 0 system dam (how is that possible?) 9 flt and 27 major eng damage which is quite a lot as she took critical engine damage... that torp probably means Akagi is out of the war for 2 months... there are about 80 Kates flying ASW but without any effect...

aerial recon showing some 20k Allied troops at Rabaul I figured about 400 assault value but it's actually more with those LH MG Rgts... my divisions are 100% prepped and good combat units so I guess they will be able to fight down those smaller Allied troops even though there's more in terms of combat units than I've thought... if needed we are going to switch those Sallies from bombing (missing) Port Moresby to ground attacks at Rabaul... I can't see Ed trying another evacuation attempt and for sure he won't be able to bring more stuff to Rabaul so these troops will be lost... remains the question how much damage the Aussies can do to my troops... I had these troops ready weeks ago but didn't order an invasion because I wanted the Allied to commit more to Rabaul but when we destroyed that cruiser squadron and the evacuation failed I knew it will be about time to invade as he won't come back...
