Flashpoint Campaigns: Germany Reforged is released!

The new Cold War turned hot wargame from On Target Simulations, now expanded with the Player's Edition! Choose the NATO or Soviet forces in one of many scenarios or two linked campaigns. No effort was spared to model modern warfare realistically, including armor, infantry, helicopters, air support, artillery, electronic warfare, chemical and nuclear weapons. An innovative new asynchronous turn order means that OODA loops and various effects on C3 are accurately modeled as never before.

Yes but the installer will do that for you.

Bismarck is correct. Defending neatly let us know if you have installation or launch problems. Some folks are unfortunately dealing with some and we are working to resolve them.

Actually, I still can't open the links in this thread, I get the same error. Note that I can open most other links in the various Matrix forums.

I found the game via the Matrix store, but don't think that the description is very clear. I found these two points confusing:
*****
--The return of Flashpoint Germany, entirely remastered with the latest On Target Simulations engine.
...
--17 scenarios with 43 variations that simulate realistic what-if situations in an hypothetical "Cold War gone hot" war.
*************
So this is all of the original scenarios, which have been "remastered"? Or is it the remastered original scenarios plus 17 new scenarios? If the latter, I suggest adding the word "new" to the last bullet point.

Links work for me and the re-mastered originals plus 17 new scenarios.

Any error messages? Have you contacted the Slitherine webmasters? Possible AV conflicts?

I liked the original FPG for its US vs Soviet plot in Europe, but as I got familiar with the actual geography of central Europe, I found the fictional maps in FPG quite off-putting. FPC Red Storm makes up for that lack of authenticity, question is, does FPG Reforged make up for it as well or does it still use fictional maps?

We reworked the original maps into Red Storm versions so the same fictional terrain is there. I do believe we added an extra map, but I am not sure. Still fun to play the FPG scenarios with the new game engine. [8D]

The sale pushed me over the fence. I'm liking "The Bear Attacks" scenario and the Eiterfeld map with the "3 Sisters" geography.

Do two players have to own Germany Reforged in order to play scenarios, or is one player owning it sufficient?

Pretty sure both need it to have all the info to pull in. I think GR is on sale right now so that might help.
