Late to the party on this one but got a question. Will current owners of the original version get any type of discount on purchase of the new game. I laid out a big sum for the first game. Would hate to think I have to turn around and put out the same for the second version of what is basically the same game. Hey I admit it. I'm a cheap bastard. :)

As it says in the OP, yes.

So I'll need to retain my CMANO and DLCs installations?

What Database will we be using? Will it still be DB3000? I'm rather new to this, so bare with me, if this question has been asked all ready [:)]

What about changes in Hardware Requirements?

On the CMANO mega-FAQ sites it says:
The faster your computer is, the better. Generally, Command likes Intel processors better than AMD since Intel uses fewer but more powerful cores. The simulator is multi-threaded in that CPU-intensive operations are handed off to helper threads. But since the main game engine thread runs on a single core, processors with few-but-powerful cores have an advantage over many-but-less-powerful cores.

Is this still true? I just bought i7-9750H for CMO, Will CMO support 6 cores and 12 threads simultaneousl?

I don't know if 6 cores will perform noticeably faster than 4, but 4 will definitely do better than 2.

Recommended requirements from the Matrix/Steam pages:

OS: Windows 7/8/10 (Steam also lists Vista as supported and 10 as recommended)
Processor: Minimum dual-core, recommended quad-core (up from 1 GHz processor minimum/recommended dual-core Pentium in C:MANO)
Memory: Minimum 4 GB RAM, recommended 8 GB RAM (up from 1 GB RAM in C:MANO)
Graphics: DirectX 9.0c compatible video card with 128 MB+ VRAM (up from 16 MB VRAM in C:MANO)
DirectX: 9.0c (listed on Steam only)
Storage: 20 GB available space (up from 12 GB available space in C:MANO)

TacView requires a Vulkan-compatible video solution, with a minimum of 1 GB VRAM/recommended 2 GB VRAM.

Do you happen to know if Command Modern Ops takes advantage of larger amounts of RAM. For example would a difference be noticed if you went from 16GB to 32GB of DDR4 2400?

I have yet to see any scenario use more than a few Gb of RAM, beyond what Windows is consuming. With TacView, there is a good chance it will use a few more. But the max I could see CMO using is 8Gb. That is a guess. So the amount of RAM you would see any benefit form would be dependent on what else you have running in the background.

Not saying more RAM isn't better, because it always is. But not sure you'll much noticeable improvement going from 16 to 32 with just CMO being considered. In fact, I went from 16 to 32 and didn't really notice an improvement. I did it for Steel Beasts.

I would like to purchase C:MO from the Matrix/ Slitherine Shop.
Will there be a discount for C:MANO owners, too or just on steam?

"There will be a significant incentive for players who want to upgrade from CMANO to CMO, so you will not be paying the full price if you already own CMANO. Details TBD"

It's right in the original post. I see no distinction between Steam and non-Steam.

This is like the third time someone has asked that exact question in THIS THREAD. It's the fourth bullet down on the original post. Its not like they have only answered this question in several innocuous threads, which they have also done. They went to the effort of building a FAQ thread, which it appears was a waste of the devs' time.

I would really like to think that the devs have better things to do less than 48 hours from launch than answering questions they officially, formally, and in an organized manner have answered already. I am not really sure what the expectations are of the people on this board are.

Exactly the same as in every other forum in the internet: "Answer my question right now, I don't want to read anything but the post just under mine"

I have always assumed and expected a different maturity level here. My mistake.

To be fair I find this forum one of the most polite and educated of all I frecuently browse. But no group of people it's ever fully homogeneous.

Drop in on the Call of Duty or Hearts of Iron forums sometime. We have a veritable paradise of mature and reasonable.posters in the CMANO/CMO community [:)]

Question: Will CMANO still be updated after CMO is released? Whether it is bugfixes or DB updates?

Will Tacview Advanced (bought from tacview.net) work with C:MO Steam version?
