Patrolling Enemy Naval and Air forces

Post by Michael T »

@Alvaro, do these units (Patrolling Enemy Naval and Air forces) pg 95 of the manual, do they need to have remaining OP's to intercept or not?

They are like air units on the enemy turn. They get 2 shots.

Each enemy can only be intercepted once though. Check for air then check for naval if air fails or isn't there.

So you are saying they need unused OP's.

I am pretty sure I see my ports get interdicted by enemy naval units that just arrived and that came from ports 2 moves away.

What about defending naval units against the interdictors? Do they need OP points.

I think what I need is you to make a definitive statement that for any naval or air unit to perform any act outside of it's own turn it needs OP's that were not used in it's own turn. If that is not the case can you please tell me the exceptions.

That way I can tell if something is WAD or not.

Enemies can move their fleet to you to kill you 2 moves away but can't attack if they do. They will move 1 move away and attack if it is safe to do so.

No it isn't. They get 2 opts on their turn and 2 on the enemy turn to intercept. I'll double check but I am pretty sure that is the case.

So to be clear ….. If naval/air units use 2 op points during their turn …. then they can still intercept during opponents turn since they get another 2 op points for the opponents turn ?

What? Is that the case? So you can use ALL ops point for a unit and it can still intercept/escort, etc. on the other player's turn?
